Nervous System Reset: Breath, Toning & Sound

Join Monica for a 60-minute session of pure relaxation, release, and restoration! We all face stress in our lives, and tension is inevitable. But stress isn’t meant to linger; it needs to be balanced with moments of release. When we get stuck in states of overstimulation—like fight, flight, freeze, or fawn—we become fearful, defensive, reactive, anxious, and agitated. Our bodies tense up, and our systems don’t work as efficiently because we’re conserving energy for survival.

But guess what? There are amazing tools to help your body and mind feel safe and relaxed again! In this session, we’ll dive into techniques using breath, humming, and sound to signal to your body that it’s time to restore and let go of that tension. Come and discover how to bring back balance and tranquility to your life!

Date: Wednesday, November 20, 2024

Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Session Fee: $20

At your Service: When Monica Mullen struck a singing bowl in 2019, an undeniable urge to follow the sound awoke in her and she knew she must heed the call. Through a series of magical connections, she started taking private lessons with local sound teacher Lana Ryder in 2020 through her Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy, which Monica now teaches classes and workshops for. Monica also continuously trains under Alexandre Tannous, who is an ethnomusicologist, sound therapist and sound researcher in NYC, and David Shemesh, an incredibly skilled sound facilitator and teacher based in Portugal. She enjoys continuing her education from other highly skilled sound practitioners such as Mitch Nur and Mike Tamburo. Monica has been a full time sound practitioner since 2021, offering group and private Sound Sessions in the area, as well as for corporate events and retreats. Her current interests besides sound and music include biogeometry, esoteric studies and creating art. She thrives in the charming kingdom of Lancaster.
